Free first, then the trial on top
Burncaps has a free plan: 2 videos every 30 days, each one recording with its whole video captioned and up to 3 clips from it, no watermark, no email and no sign-up. Every clip of the whole recording is found, ranked and shown to everyone. The trial is offered when you reach the free limit (a third recording in 30 days, a fourth clip from one recording, or Export all past 3 clips), and when it ends your account is back on Free, never locked out.

How it starts, and how it ends
Before it starts
Drop a video or a podcast. With no sign-up, Burncaps listens, writes the script, shows every caption style on your own video, and finds and ranks every clip of the whole recording. Free exports 2 videos every 30 days, each with captions and up to 3 clips, before you give us anything.
Day 1
When you reach the free limit, the card offers the trial. Type your email; we send a six-digit code, you type it in, the trial starts and the export carries on. No card is asked for, then or later. You can also start it from the Captions + Clips page.
Day 7, and after
The day before it ends we email you a reminder, and a short note when it has ended. Nothing is charged, because we never had a card. Your account is back on Free, 2 videos every 30 days with up to 3 clips each. For more, Captions + Clips is $29 a month, or Captions is $9.98 a month or $49 once for captioned videos only, and everything you exported stays yours. The first payment for Captions + Clips has a 14-day money-back guarantee.
Who can start one
One trial per email, ever, and one per browser in a year. One internet connection can start three in 30 days, so up to three people sharing one connection, in an office for example, can each try it. An email that has or had Captions + Clips, or holds a Captions plan that includes clips (paid once before 26 October 2026), cannot start one; a Captions plan without clips can try Captions + Clips once. These limits are what lets us keep the trial free of a card for everyone else.

Does the Burncaps free trial need a credit card?
No. The 7-day trial starts with your email and a six-digit code we send to it, and no card is asked for at any point, so nothing can be charged when it ends. The free plan before it needs no sign-up at all.
Does the free trial add a watermark?
No. Nothing you export carries a watermark: not on Free, not in the trial, not with Captions + Clips or Captions.
What happens when the 7 days end?

Do I have to cancel the trial?
No. There is no card and no payment to stop: the trial simply ends after 7 days.
How many clips can I make in the trial?
Unlimited. Each recording can be up to three hours, and Burncaps returns about one clip for every two minutes of talk, up to 30, ranked best first, the ones we would post first circled, each with the reason it was chosen. Every one exports in the trial.
Is the trial the full product?
It has the features of Captions + Clips: unlimited clips and captioned videos, every style, background and caption language, your logo and brand presets, and subtitle files of the whole recording. Three things are smaller: three hours of our speech service in any 30 days (Captions + Clips has 20), three signed-in devices (Captions + Clips has ten), and the safety limits on translations and clip finding that Captions has (Captions + Clips has higher ones). English on a computer is heard on your own device without a limit.

What it is: a browser tool that burns animated word-by-word captions into a talking video, or finds the best moments of a talk, podcast or interview and gives them back as ranked, captioned 9:16 clips.

Privacy: the video never leaves your browser. The sound goes only to our speech service, on a phone unless you switch it off, on a computer only if you choose it. Because the video never reaches us, we cannot keep it or train AI on it, and we train no AI on anything you make.
Files: MP4 or MOV in, MP4 out. Captions on the whole video: up to ten minutes. Clips: up to three hours, on a phone or a computer. SRT, VTT, ASS and text files are free without limit for recordings up to ten minutes; a longer recording, up to three hours, gives its script and those files (the first ten minutes free, all of it as one of your free videos, in the trial or with Captions + Clips or Captions) and its clips (every one found and shown before you sign up; up to 3 from each free video exported free, every one in the trial or with Captions + Clips).
Clips: about one clip for every two minutes of talk, up to 30, ranked, the ones we would post first circled, each showing the words it opens and ends on and the reason it was chosen; each cut to 9:16 with ums and dead air removed, an opening card and captions, framed on whoever is talking. Every clip of the whole recording is found and shown, free and with no sign-up; each free video exports up to 3 of them, and the 7-day trial and Captions + Clips export every clip, unlimited.
