Last updated: 28 September 2026 · Burncaps is a product of Jordan Labs Ltd, registered in England and Wales (company no. 17358646).
These terms cover your use of Burncaps, which generates and burns captions into videos using AI that runs on your own device (and, only when you choose them, on our speech service and AI checks). Burncaps is free to use with every feature: your first two videos carry no mark, and after that each video carries a small burncaps.app mark; Pro removes it. The free videos are provided as-is, with no uptime or accuracy guarantees. AI transcription makes mistakes, so review captions before publishing.
A Pro purchase (one-time payment) grants you a personal, non-transferable licence to use Pro features indefinitely, on your own devices. Pro is tied to the email you paid with and can be signed in on up to three devices at once; signing in on a fourth signs out the one used longest ago. Do not share your sign-in with other people. Pro’s translations and best-moment picks are unlimited for your own use; a daily safety limit per account, far above what one person making videos reaches, stops a misused sign-in, and it resets at midnight UK time. Refunds: if Pro does not work on your machine, email us within 14 days of purchase for a full refund.
Your files never reach us, and you keep all rights to them. You are responsible for having the rights to the videos you caption and for how you use the output.
Do not use Burncaps to produce captions for unlawful content, and do not attempt to disrupt the service or share or resell access to Pro. Do not attempt to get around the free allowance, the export check or Pro, for example by altering the page's code, forging or copying export passes, or cycling identities to reset the count; we may block access that does, and we will ask hosts to remove tools or instructions published for that purpose.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Jordan Labs Ltd's total liability arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 12 months. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under the law of England and Wales, which governs these terms.
