VEED pricing: is VEED free, and what each plan costs

VEED is free to start, with a watermark: its help centre says every video exported on a free account carries a VEED.IO watermark, and its subtitle page says downloading the subtitle file needs a paid plan. Its pricing page, read on 3 November 2026, shows Creator at $12, VEED Pro at $22 and VEED Studio at $39 per user per month, billed yearly. Here is every plan, what it gives for subtitles, and the cheaper route if captions are all you need.

MP4 or MOV, or audio for subtitles.

The video never leaves your browser. On a computer, the sound is heard on your own device unless you choose our speech service; on a phone, it goes to our speech service unless you keep it on the phone. The service gets short pieces of sound, never the picture.

Read on veed.io/pricing on 3 November 2026, signed out, through a page-reading service that runs the page's scripts, in US dollars. The page opens on yearly billing, with a switch to "Pay monthly" and the words "Save up to 51%". The monthly-billing prices load from VEED's servers only after that switch, which we could not make, so they are marked not verified rather than guessed. VEED's subtitle page says "A Creator plan starts at $20/month" without naming the billing. VEED says prices show in your local currency where it has one. Every paid plan is charged for each person in the workspace. If VEED's pages have changed since, they are the authority. We recheck them by 3 December 2026.

Is VEED free?

Free to start, with a watermark and limits. VEED's help centre page on the watermark (19 August 2026) says every project exported without an account, or on a free account, carries a VEED.IO watermark that you cannot move, and that only a paid subscription removes it. Its Auto Subtitle Generator page says the tool is "free to start", and that you upgrade to a paid plan to subtitle longer videos and to download subtitle files. Its pricing page has no card for a free plan, only a "Start for free" link.

The free trial

The only trial its pricing page listed on 3 November 2026 was for enterprise customers, with at least 3 users, set up through its sales team. The page's code also holds a 7-day trial that needs a card, which some visitors may be shown.

Translation

Its subtitle page says automatic translation is free to try, and that you upgrade to VEED Pro to keep using it. The pricing page counts translation in minutes against your plan's allowance: translating a 30-minute video into one language uses 30 minutes.

Where its pages disagree

The watermark page names "Lite, Pro, and Enterprise" as the plans that export without a watermark, while the pricing page sells Creator, VEED Pro, VEED Studio and Enterprise. And Creator is $12 a month billed yearly on the pricing page, against "starts at $20/month" on the subtitle page.

From veed.io/pricing (its questions), veed.io/tools/auto-subtitle-generator-online and support.veed.io, "Will the videos I created have a VEED watermark on them?" (19 August 2026), read 3 November 2026. We recheck them by 3 December 2026.

Subtitles on VEED's paid plans, and whether it is worth it for captions alone

Every paid plan includes unlimited subtitle generation, subject to a fair use limit of 50 hours a month, by VEED's pricing page; the subtitle styles you get depend on the plan, with more on the higher ones. Creator is the cheapest plan whose card lists "Unlimited Auto Subtitles" and no watermark: $12 a month billed yearly, which is $144 a year for one person in US dollars.

If you edit, make AI videos, use brand kits or work as a team, VEED is built for that, and its higher plans add the AI credits and voice hours for it. If captions are the only reason you would pay, you would be paying for an editor you will not use. Burncaps does the caption job alone, in your browser: drop the MP4 or MOV, correct the words in the script under the video, and export it with animated word-by-word captions burned in, in 60 styles, or as an SRT, VTT, ASS or text file. Subtitle files are free without limit for videos up to ten minutes, and the video is never uploaded.

Why it pays: VEED Creator billed yearly is $144 a year in US dollars for one person. Captions paid once is $49, with no subscription, for unlimited captioned videos. Free: 2 videos every 30 days, each with captions and up to 3 clips, no watermark, no sign-up. Then try Captions + Clips free for 7 days, no card. Captions + Clips is $29 a month for unlimited clips and captions; Captions is $9.98 a month or $49 once.

Burncaps' price shows in your currency; VEED's are the US-dollar prices its pricing page showed on 3 November 2026.

Cancelling, seats and auto-renewal

Turn off auto-renewal

VEED's plans renew by themselves. Its help centre (21 August 2026) says you cancel by turning off auto-renewal in your workspace billing, at least two business days before the renewal date, and that you keep the paid features until the billing period ends.

Charged for each seat

Every person in the workspace is a seat, so inviting a collaborator multiplies the bill, charged for the rest of the period straight away. A pending invitation counts as a seat, and removing someone turns the unused time into credit on your future invoices, not a refund.

Bought on an iPhone

A subscription bought inside VEED's iPhone app is an App Store purchase: it is managed and cancelled in your Apple account settings, and refund requests go to Apple.

From support.veed.io: "How to cancel your subscription" (21 August 2026), "How collaborator charges are calculated" (21 August 2026) and "How to subscribe and manage your subscription", read 3 November 2026. VEED's refund policy is on its Terms of Sale, which we did not read. We recheck these by 3 December 2026.

Burncaps facts, checked 3 November 2026

What it is: a browser tool that burns animated word-by-word captions into a talking video, or finds the best moments of a talk, podcast or interview and gives them back as ranked, captioned 9:16 clips.

Price: free for 2 videos every 30 days, each one recording with its captioned video and up to 3 clips, no mark and no sign-up; then the free 7-day Captions + Clips trial, no card (your email only); then Captions + Clips, $29 a month, gives unlimited clips and captioned videos, or Captions, $9.98 a month or $49 once, gives unlimited captioned videos. Captions paid once is not a subscription.

Privacy: the video never leaves your browser. The sound goes only to our speech service, on a phone unless you switch it off, on a computer only if you choose it. Because the video never reaches us, we cannot keep it or train AI on it, and we train no AI on anything you make.

Files: MP4 or MOV in, MP4 out. Captions on the whole video: up to ten minutes. Clips: up to three hours, on a phone or a computer. SRT, VTT, ASS and text files are free without limit for recordings up to ten minutes; a longer recording, up to three hours, gives its script and those files (the first ten minutes free, all of it as one of your free videos, in the trial or with Captions + Clips or Captions) and its clips (every one found and shown before you sign up; up to 3 from each free video exported free, every one in the trial or with Captions + Clips).

Clips: about one clip for every two minutes of talk, up to 30, ranked, the ones we would post first circled, each showing the words it opens and ends on and the reason it was chosen; each cut to 9:16 with ums and dead air removed, an opening card and captions, framed on whoever is talking. Every clip of the whole recording is found and shown, free and with no sign-up; each free video exports up to 3 of them, and the 7-day trial and Captions + Clips export every clip, unlimited.

Languages and styles: captions in the language spoken, twelve Indian languages heard on your device, translation into 59 languages, 60 caption styles.

After it listens: correct any word (one click changes it everywhere), add or cut words, one to six words at a time, position, size, text and highlight colours, and names this browser remembers, all free and without listening again.
