Sermon clips from your service video, without uploading it
Drop the recording of Sunday's sermon and Burncaps listens to all of it, then gives back its strongest moments as ranked 9:16 clips for Reels, Shorts and TikTok, each with a score out of 100, captioned and framed on the speaker. It all happens on the church computer, in the browser: footage of your congregation is never uploaded.

One sermon, a week of posts
Burncaps returns about one clip for every three minutes of preaching, up to 20, best first, when it searches the whole sermon. A 40-minute sermon gives about 13 clips: enough to post one or two a day until next Sunday. Each clip comes with a score out of 100, Hook, Flow and Value grades, a title and the reason it was chosen, so the person posting can see why it made the cut.
| What you record | Clips found with Studio | Free, or with Pro |
|---|---|---|
| A 25-minute sermon | About 8 | About 3, from the first ten minutes |
| A 40-minute sermon | About 13 | About 3, from the first ten minutes |
| An hour of teaching | Up to 20 | About 3, from the first ten minutes |
| A whole service, up to three hours on a computer | Up to 20, the best of all of it | About 3, from the first ten minutes |
Built for a church media team
Your congregation stays off other servers
A service recording shows the people in the pews, children too. Burncaps reads the video in place from your own disk and cuts every clip in the browser, so the picture never leaves the church computer. The sound goes to our speech service only on a phone unless you switch it off, or on a computer if you choose it.
Names and places spelled right
Sermons are full of names a speech model has rarely heard: Nebuchadnezzar, Gethsemane, Habakkuk, your church's own name. Type them in the names box once and every caption uses your spelling; this browser remembers them for every sermon after.
Start the file at the sermon
The clips are chosen from the words spoken, so the sermon is where they come from, not the welcome, the notices or the songs. On the free plan, which looks at the first ten minutes, drop a recording that starts with the sermon. With Studio, drop the whole service and it searches all of it.
What it costs a church
| Plan | Clips from a sermon | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Free | The clips of the first ten minutes, with their scores; each exported clip uses one of your two free videos every 30 days | Free |
| Pro | The whole sermon's script and subtitle files, and Clips from its first ten minutes; unlimited videos with no mark, on up to three devices | $49 once |
| Studio | Clips from the whole of every sermon, up to three hours on a computer; ten devices, so the whole media team can sign in | $29 a month, cancel any time |
Why Studio for a church: it finds clips in the whole of every sermon, and up to ten volunteers can sign in on their own devices, all on one subscription. A cloud clip tool needs the service footage uploaded to its servers; Burncaps never uploads the video, so the faces in your congregation stay on your computer. There is no minute meter: a recording can be up to three hours, and the only hours counted are our speech service's, 20 in any 30 days, after which Burncaps listens on your own device.
What it does not do
Burncaps does not stream or record your service, take a link from YouTube or Facebook, post to your accounts, or stitch one clip together from several parts of the sermon. It cuts clips from a video file the church already has. An audio-only recording gives its script and subtitle files (the first ten minutes free, all of it with Pro or Studio), not clips, because clips are cut from the picture.
Questions, answered plainly
How do I turn a sermon into short clips?
Drop the sermon's video file on Burncaps in a browser on a computer, recordings up to three hours. It listens to the whole sermon and gives back about one clip for every three minutes of preaching, up to 20, ranked best first, each captioned, cut to 9:16 and framed on the speaker. Open any clip to edit it, then export one or all.
Is the sermon video uploaded anywhere?
No. The picture and the export are made in your browser, so footage of your congregation stays on your computer. The sound goes to our speech service only on a phone unless you switch it off, or on a computer if you choose it, and the transcript text goes to Claude only to find the clips, check names or translate, never the video.
How much do sermon clips cost?
Free to use: two videos every 30 days with no mark, or $49 once for unlimited videos. On the free plan Burncaps finds the clips of the first ten minutes of a sermon, and each exported clip uses one of your two free videos. Studio, $29 a month, finds clips in the whole of every sermon and covers ten devices for a media team.
Will it spell Bible names correctly?
Type the names in the names box, such as Nebuchadnezzar or your church's name, and every caption uses your spelling; this browser remembers them for next week. You can also click any word in the script to correct it, and one click changes the same word everywhere.
Can our church post the clips in other languages?
Captions are made in the language spoken, twelve Indian languages are heard on your device, and the captions can be translated into 37 languages, so a clip can carry the language of the people you want to reach.
